GoogolPlex finally allows you to do more with Siri. Before, Siri was limited and only allowed you to do things that Apple had built in (setting reminders, alarms, etc.). Now, with GoogolPlex, you can access third-party functionality to play music with Spotify, turn on the lights, control your car, and do so much more!
Yes! It works on all Siri-enabled iOS Devices (iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad), the setup and use is the same for all of them.
Nope! You don't have to jailbreak or download anything. Setup is super simple and it only takes 30 seconds.
First, create an account! Check out our tutorial here to set it up on your iPhone. Note: that the first time you set it up you will need to login to your account!
You use GoogolPlex just as you would use Siri. Just hold down the home button, tell Siri to do something, and your done! Get started by telling Siri "GoogolPlex, play On Top of the World." If it shows the GoogolPlex screen and goes to Spotify, it worked! You can do more with GoogolPlex by adding commands. Still confused? Check out a demo video to see how it is used.
We've already built in GoogolPlex integration with Philips Hue, Spotify, and Tesla. Without adding any commands, you can already turn on and off lights, play music if you have Spotify premium, and control your Tesla.
Definitely! GoogolPlex is an open platform where developers can develop their own Siri commands and release them to the world (just like the app store). Go to Featured Commands at the top of the page, and you'll be able to add commands other people have developed to your own platform. Check back often to see what people have come up with!
Some Siri commands that access your third-party account may need settings like a username and password. If you've added a command that needs settings, you can enter them by going to the Command Settings page.
If you followed the instructions on the homepage, GoogolPlex will only work when you are connected to that WiFi hotspot. If you connect to another WiFi hotspot, you will have to set it up again. You only have to do this once per WiFi hotspot. Find this annoying? Follow the instructions for our extended setup. If you take the time to follow our extended setup, GoogolPlex will work on ALL WiFi hotspots and 3G/4G/LTE!

That means you aren't saying the right thing for that command. For each command, you can see what you need to activate it by going to your panel and clicking the "Edit" button and looking at the phrase matchers.
That's great to hear! By developing GoogolPlex commands you help to better the GoogolPlex experience. If you're interested, click here to learn more!
The short answer is no. We operate differently than previous Siri hacks that have been shut down. Apple would not be able to shut this down because we do not rely on an app in the App Store and we do not rely on an active security exploit that Apple could patch in a future version of iOS. We are using standard iOS functionality to accomplish this feat. Learn more how we accomplished this by reading a technical explanation.
Two reasons. First, GoogolPlex is a very, very, large number. We believe this appropriately signifies the number of possibilities Siri can now reach. Second, it is actually vital that the name begins with "Googol" for our hack to work, read more about this with our technical explanation.
